Accomplishments: November 2007 - July 2010
Prior to our re-branding and re-establishment as a fund-raising arm for the Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute, The Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Founation was proud to have been able to accomplish some great things. Our heart-felt thanks goes out to our generous supporters for their donations that made this all possible. We are excited to bring the same level of dedication to our work with the Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute.

2008
- Invested $5K inLung Cancer Alliance - Georgia as sponsor of their Fourth Annual Atlanta Lung Cancer Run and Walk.
- Invested in an aggressive awareness campaign that included direct mailings, brochures, and various promotional materials.
- Three direct mailings to over 1,500 people nationwide.
- Over 3,500 informational brochures distributed across North Georgia.
- Over 2,500 promotional items created and distributed.
- Exhibitor to three community fairs in which we evangelized for the cause of lung cancer awareness and advocacy.
- We also sponsor the Saint Joseph's Hospital Lung Cancer Support Group.
- Invested $15K in the Addario Lung Cancer Medical Institute.
- Continued support of the Saint Joseph's Hospital Lung Cancer Support Group.
- Exhibitor, Saint Joseph's Hosptial 2009 Cancer Survivor's Conference.
- Invested in a month-long online awareness campaign on ajc.com.
- Invested in a month-long outdoor awareness campaign with a billboard from CBS Outdoor.
- Bronze Sponsor, No More Excuses 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- Bronze Sponsor, Love Your Lungs Atlanta In Memory of Henry J. Avery
- Invested $12K in The Wigbels/Herbst Cancer Research Fund.
- Continued support of the Saint Joseph's Hospital Lung Cancer Support Group.
- Invested in a billboard awareness campaign in the North Georgia mountains. (Spring/Summer 2010).
- In July, we changed our corporate name to The Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Fund, revised our Mission Statement, and announced a formal partnership with ALCMI. More information here.
